Twenny Ten

I can't believe we're here. The end of 2010.

It has been such an amazing, satisfying and beautiful year for me, people. I knew I had to make the year a great one to make up for the pile of tripe that was 2009. So ladies and gentlemen, I now present to you the key events which helped make the past 12 months fantastic.

Applause, applause.

January 28: The Boys Like Girls concert. I may be wrong, bit it looks like this amazing night set the tone for the rest of the year! Don't you just love it when that happens...

March 6: My surprise birthday party at Siloso Beach Resort.
Dude.. what! I knew they'd do something WITH me but I had no idea they did something FOR me. And the scale on which they did it... I mean this thing took months! Lets just say friends can be overly awesome when you least expect them to be.

May 24: A surprise visit from Mr E, aka the most surreal 4 days of my life.
Til today, I swear my heart really stopped beating for a few seconds when he appeared behind me at the airport. Surreal. C'est tout.

June 03: My friends and I, we got a free room at Resorts World Sentosa coz mi papa bailed on his own birthday party to attend a wedding.Okay so the picture doesn't tell a very classy story but daym! It was fun being the first-ever occupants of that spankin' new room.

June 23: The French ami's visit. We went nuts with picnics

..and also went up Marina bay Sands with him when he came back from Indonesia in July. It's nice to be up there with someone who appreciates a good view.

Sunset over an infinity pool. Views don't get much better than that.

August 14-28: One of the biggest highlights of my year,
With Greek god gymnast, Polo Tavas

I don't think I can articulate how awesome it was being part of the YOG. Hot guys aside, the experience was simply.. priceless. I loved my role, adored the company and enjoyed the whole damn thing. Also? Volunteers got a free night trip to Universal Studios Singapore and free tickets to the F1 Grand Prix Night Race. Wootz!

September and October saw the beginnings of lots and lots of school-related poppycock so that kinda dampened things.. BUT! I still managed to meet SassyGirl & Krissy! Amaze, amaze. November was kinda fun, too, and December has been an endless ice-cream binge.

So what else can I say? The year deserves like, a standing ovation or something. I needed it to be great and it was! Thank you to all those who made it good some way or another.

Happy New Year, everyone!
May 2011 be as blessed for all of us as 2010 was for me.

I have to admit my first thought was self-centered. It was, "Hey, we met in 2009! How bad could it have been???". But then I remembered and I'm so happy that 2010 turned out so much better.

Here's hoping that 2011 continues the upward trend! =)
