I'm just thinkin'. All those times you've fantasized about it, it has always come out flawless, hasn't it? The location, the person and even the duration.
Some go on for eternity.. nice, slow and teasing, and you still don't feel like you've had enough. It can also be hard and quick, but it'll still play in slow-motion in your head, no matter how many times you replay it.
Some would been after weeks of laissez-faire attitude; pretending you never noticed the sparks. Then it happens and it shuts you up good. Sometimes it comes so suddenly and so soon, you won't know how to react; but you fall into step after two seconds anyway, although others might jump back as if they'd been seared.
Some have it all planned out perfectly, foolishly thinking that's the whole point of it all. But when the moment comes, they'd realize that that's not how they want it to be; that perhaps crazy spontaneity is the way to go. But by then it might already be too late and they'd wait for another opportunity. Which, of course, might never come.
Some linger on, the heat still present even as you tuck yourself into bed and convince yourself that it probably won't happen again.. though nothing could make you forget the way his hands felt as they touched your back, your neck, or how his CK scent attacked your senses and his mouth drowned out everything else. You're right; things won't be the same again.
If you're lucky enough, you might even have something comprehensible to say after the process and not just mutter a "Wow." Of course, sometimes there's just nothing to say. Coz some things are just too good to be put into words. And often before you know it, you're addicted.
But, for the most part, we would probably always remember it. We could either laugh about it, or feel bitter coz it didn't happen too wonderfully; but we'll always remember it. You're probably luckiest if you could look back on it and smile, albeit wistfully. Doesn't matter if you don't remember the song playing-- the tune that played on your heartstrings will never quite leave you.

wow. i knew my past would haunt me somehow.
mine was stolen by the guy who was far older than i was at that time and shortly after that kiss, he disappeared and was never to be heard from again.
