Thanks For The Memories
Met up with a former flame for lunch and high tea recently, coz he was in town for a conference and wanted company. (It's not as weird as it sounds, really.)
That day, for the first time in years, he apparently decided to talk about it. Talking about the past can be uncomfortable and downright painful but also enlightening. I realize I have indeed been meeting all the right people... just at the wrong time.
Adamus was a really nice guy and I guess, like many other 18 year old girls, I wasn't ready for an all-round nice guy (if that makes sense). He was such a loving, generous, hardworking and patient person and I guess his near-perfection in character pissed me off. I always felt like my callousness was grossly highlighted whenever I was with him.
He was everything I wasn't. But on hindsight it's like, hey, if he loved me, how bad could it be? (Also, how bad can I be?) I was a little too thick to see that, and dropped him to run off with some jerk who made me cry every week.
I'm not saying I've missed out on the love of my life or anything, but my time together with Adamus would have definitely gone a whole lot better had we met this year instead of in 2007. This 22 year old Me would have loved him more than that brattyass 18 year old Nash ever did.
Oh well. Live and learn, I guess.

PS;
The Arab guy is back in Saudi Arabia and apparently has my picture up on his wall. My life is hilarious as usual.

Timing is everything...and understanding ourselves. Learning what you have at 22 is great. It shows you're not one of those oblivious people who still don't get it when they're in their 50's (and I just want to strangle them).
I wrote a longer comment, but erased it--it was about how at 18 I was the perfect combination of you two. I was loving, generous, hard-working and I got pissed off a lot. LOL! (This was the short version)
"How bad can I be?" That's what I hav been telling you all along! You shouldnt put yourself down because he's near-perfect. I'm sure he realized that you weren't 2 peas in a pod. If someone like him fell in love with you, you must be really something. ;)
the fact that you mula bersama dia gara2 bosan aja udah weird. jajaja.
kasian sih adam...waktu tibanya salah sekali! antara 2 era of the other tengku. takpa. soal cinta you akan beres akhirnya. good night, chica.
@putra: I know, right? LOL. Nevertheless it could have been better had I not been such an ass to him. Speaking of "the other one", tengo noticias que deseas escuchar.
And once again you're wishing me good night when it's daytime. :D
When you disappeared and privatized this site I was thinking you sneakily moved.
Anyway, I'm proud of you for learning from the past. Some people let it fly past their heads.
Ps- I dont have blogger so please tweet your updates for me.lulz.
