The part where I become a sap for Tchaikovsky
Meeting my Morphology professor in his office this morning to discuss nouns and verbs really drained me, so I spent the evening hanging out with a couple of friends while we waited for The GFF to finish work. We were walking around aimlessly when I heard some very familiar music coming from the kids store.
"Wait. Did you hear that?"
"No, hear what?"
"Okay sshh..."
I went into the store and searched for the music. I could practically feel my ears prickling when the music grew louder.
The tune was coming from...
a cot mobile.
A cot mobile was playing SWAN LAKE!
I know it sounds crazy but I was like, wow! This thing is playing Swan Lake!! And all that my friends could do was stare at me with blank looks.
I wanted to take it home with me and hang it above my bed or something. Shucks. That would be so awesome. THAT, my friends, would make me sleep well every night! (It's been proven scientifically and everything)
Garrhh. I get so sappy when it comes to ballet and Swan Lake. (Someone hand me a tissue already!) I wish I could talk to someone about such stuff but I'm surrounded by non-dancey people, which is just toobs, I guess.
Now.. I shall retreat into seclusion and listen to BoysLikeGirls and WeTheKings until my reputation is restored.

Hey I'm a dancey person! :P I appreciate any kind of dances, love to watch them especially traditional ones, but the one that I like to dance is R&B hiphop! Do you know any good place here to learn hiphop dance? :D

You should have totally bought it and stored it for...er...future uses?
@ Fairuz: Oh yeah I was there. I can't believe you still know my face! LOL
@ Rika: That's great! Uhm, if you want regular 'streetdance' hiphop you can find it in some of the CCs. I'm more familiar with the bboy classes (the 'breakdancing' type) and those are taught by people I know.
@ Ejannz: HO YEAH I WILL. But Swan Lake ballets don't usually come here...
@ Manju: I know, right? They're all random tunes that nobody even knows. Sheesh!
@ Kym: *teehee*
@ Simes: Hey.
@ Angryredhead: SIGH. I think my mom woulda freaked if I brought that home! xD
Hahahaz. I would have given u a blank stare too coz I wouldn't recognize Swan Lake!
bgirl is a badass ballerina, remember? :p
hve a good idea, why dont you try to.... make a babyy! then you can have one without ever feeling guilt. :) :) :D
@ Izan: I won't expect you to either :)
@ putra: You bet I do! :D
@ Nitia: Don't you just hate bad timings? HAHAHAAA
hehehe swan lake that make me a little teary eyed too. i just gets to me sometimes.
I love classic music, I used to play the violin. And yes, it does help sleep.
My fave part of this post:
(It's been proven scientifically and everything)
lmao!!
un mot:
Bellarina.
:)
@ Abby: Exactly! I'm glad I'm not the only sappy one for Tchaikovsky!
@ Ambar: Wow, violin! I'm impressed :)
@ J: HEHEHE
@ Masth: J'AIME! C'est un BON mot.

awww u shoulda bought it. that sounds sooo cute. reminds me of those things that hang on baby cribs. =)
That is freaking AWESOME!!!
@ Mel: That's a cot mobile! Weeheehee
@ LiLu: You KNOW it! ^^
this is hilarious! hey we all have our little kicks ;)
@ Bananas: I know right! Hehehehe
It's intricate and soothing, but that piece doesn't really pump my nads. But if one does ballet, I guess it would be a nice thing to be into the music ;-)
Classical music calls down my bambino in no time flat. I don't know why it shouldn't do it for big kids too! I'm not a dancer but I just love going to the ballet!
@ G: "Pump my nads" woke me up.
@ Kristin: Good to know! :D
I love swan lake! I can always recognize it from ballet class as a child.
@ C90s: Because you rock.
