And plan my week I didn't.

I've been busy slacking and schmoozing.

After a day of shoe shopping on Labour Day, the GFF had this brilliant plan to have a full weekend of food, drinks and movies for 4 of us. At her Plaza apartment. (Click here if you forgot/ are wondering how the place looks like.)

A little DVD movie marathon with my three Indochine girls for two days/nights straight, inclusive of late-night sororitizing?
Noble idea, I say.

What we watched, in order of viewing:

1) He's Just Not That Into You
2) Yes Man
3) American Pie, Band Camp
4) The Da Vinci Code
5) Bride Wars
6) Twilight
7) 1408

How random were our picks? That was for Saturday. Sunday's lineup was-

8) Memoirs of a Geisha
9) Madagascar 2
10) X-Men 1 (since we all caught X-men Origins recently)
12) X2: X-Men United
13) Sex and the City (for the uhh, hundredth time?)

As always, I was made sous chef of the house. That meant my super secret-recipe (HAHA YEAH RIGHT) cheese casserole for brunch and chilli chicken fettucini for dinner.

I conjured up blueberry pancakes for breakfast on Sunday and wanted to make something else for lunch, but the girls requested insisted I make the casserole again. Awww, I'm flattered. (What can I say, the GFF's all-white kitchen truly inspires me, lulz.)

Then we had Hawaiian and pepperoni pizza delivered for dinner since we all ate like pigs and the kitchen finally ran out of ingredients.
We whipped up ice-cream crepes together for dessert on both days and dayyyum were those good stuff or what!

And yes, this is starting to sound like some old maid's cooking blog. Or something. But hey, whatever, right? As long as it's all good, I shouldn't be complaining. Especially since I have three new pairs of shoes and a spankin' fresh satin purse to keep me happy for the next couple of weeks. Life is never perfect but it does have its moments.

We ended the weekend with a Jaliscan tequila toast to Mexico. May the world be rid of piggy flu.
Cheers.

The only movie on either of those lists I've seen is Band Camp, and it was awful in my opinion.

I hear there's a lot of nudity in Sex and the City though.

@ Masth: Memang tak perlu, but that's how we roll. And what justice is there to be had? :p

@ Uno: Lets see..
Corkscrew pasta,
hashbrown,
mushrooms,
sausages,
chicken strips,
some random herbs I never identified,
condensed cream of corn (for no reason at all),
some parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese and a boatload of mozzarella on top.

Yes we like cheese. :)

@ PLP: Isn't it! It's no place for a family, but perfect for random gatherings.

Sounds like an amazing weekend, but at what point did you girls pillow fight in your underwear? You mean that doesn’t happen at all slumber parties?

Nashe^ said...

Slop, I guess we were too shagged to pillow fight.

Or maybe we just forgot.

Pinked said...

Yo, it's quite the bachelorette pad :P
