"There's a Lot of Fabulosity that has To be Maintained"

A few things...

CGM has passed an award to me. LULZ, thanks Mel! I wonder how many more awards are floating around in the blogosphere... Anyhoo, I'm supposed to list 5 addictions before adding this to my sidebar, so here goes:

1) Peppering my conversations with French phrases or words when I'm with my friend Masrois. Unless you have stalked Masrois and me for a day, you won't know just how serious this addiction is. And I'm telling you, IT. IS. SERIOUS.

2) Famous Amos cookies. Friends would have known how much of those I can eat on any given day.

3) Anything that glitters or sparkles. I'm such a girl when it comes to the shiny stuff.

4) Shopping. I love anything that makes me feel good, and shopping is definitely one of the most effective happiness-inducing methods. Being materialistic does not make me any less empathic.

5) Since I'm here, I might as well say I'm addicted to the www. I'm not a geek or anything, but I definitely have issues with being cut out from the outside world. I scan the news each time I switch my baby computer on. Yes, I realize I can simply watch the telly or read the papers or something for the news, but hey, I'm just making use of technology here!

-------------------------------
My (Fri)day started late. I just came home from a day out celebrating Ameliene's 20th birthday with Hamz and Syawn. Watched Push, and came out from the cinema 'pushing' each other and basically driving ourselves nuts. I don't think you'll know what kinda "pushing" I'm talking about unless you've watched the movie, and I shan't spoil it for you! It gets pretty awesome when you watch it with the right people. Happy birthday, Ameliene. :)

-------------------------------
I'll be spending my Saturday checking out the university's Open House. I'm slightly curious as to how they'd market the institution now, with the two recent deaths lingering overhead. I'll also spend time preparing some tuna macaroni salad (with special ingredients!) for some friends I'll be meeting on Sunday. I'm looking forward to Sunday though I have no idea what shoes to wear.

-------------------------------

I absolutely have to watch this. Ya think?

very true, being materialistic does not automatically mean you are any less empathic. i can't imagine a non-materialistic you. you'd lose your dreams and start slacking.
