Curious

I was Friendster-hopping in the early a.m and I'm utterly surprised to see a picture of myself featured on a certain person's profile. The first picture, at that. The caption was even more mind-boggling. I haven't seen this person since July, and I don't think he knows I know about this. I'm not exactly a fan of having my random photos displayed without my knowledge, but ah well I guess I'm letting it slide. I know we used to be close and all, and it's a small deal to him, but it would have been nice if I had been informed beforehand. Naaa mean.

Sigh.

A girlfriend and I accompanied a friend to a Buddhist ceremony thing today. I went along out of sheer curiosity, okay. My friend (his name is Mos) had to do something for his Buddhist uncle there, although he wasn't Buddhist himself. A buddhist thing, so don't ask me. A supposedly famous Buddhist monk from Tibet is currently in S'pore and performing some weird prayer stuff in this event. The monk was maha old, bald and he apparently possesses some psychedelic psychic ability.

After the real event, and over an hour of queuing, Mos went to seek 'personal' (blessings? advice? prayer? no idea) from him while my girlfriend and I waited far away. We're totally not involved in this whole buddha thing after all. But wait! A couple of minutes later Mos came running out and said "He wants to see you! Both of you!"

Like what the hell?

My chest suddenly contracted my heart started beating so fast, I tell you. There was a totally cute panicked expression on the girlfriend's face. Nevertheless, we went to see the old guy. He was so Zen. He called us by our names! zomfg.

Mr Monk told my girlfriend she's got plenty of issues bottled up inside, and that it's better to share it with her mom. Gee. He proceeded to tell her all about her internal conflicts(in great detail), reminded her that her brother owes her money, and that she promised someone she'd take her meds. It went on for quite some time. I just listened quite embarrassedly for some reason. I didn't know he was gonna give me the same kind of evaluation...

He knew my birthday, and in perfect English told me I'm a natural cat-lover.
He says I have a lot of pride in myself and that I don't take well to hurtful insults.
He says I have a tough demeanor but I'm actually very sensitive to myself and others. But I'm quite ignorant of my parentage.
And apparently, there are people who hate me so much out there and will go to great lengths to physically wound me. (gasp gasp!)
He said I've been hurt real bad these past few months and only I can help myself. And get this shit- he says I'm in love. With a C.I, nonetheless! Maha LOL-ness. Shall not elaborate on that.

In the end, Mr Monk just smiled this serene smile and continued the blessing thing with Mos.
Needless to say, both me and my gf positively freaked and beat the hell outta there. Sorry, Mos. But that wooglified consultation was uncalled for.

Goodness. I'm not supposed to believe in these things! Fortune-telling..palm-reading.. it's so un-Islamic! Haha...it's just freaky how he knew me that well...

Oh and by the way it's the month Ramadhan now, which means Nashe (aka the most devout Muslim ever) has to fast! For a whole month, yo. Only then I can celebrate Hari Raya in October. Heh. Ramadhan. It's supposed to be the holy month, and I shall therefore abstain from all forms of regular (+sinful) entertainment which includes all bitchery, flirting, rude comments, dirty movies, dirty jokes, dirty thoughts (I think you get the idea) and therefore refrain from visiting Butchie's blog.
