I am in an all-girls school.
We finally got down to proper lessons today... My break in between PE and Eng.Lit was like 3 hours! That was mad, but at least i got 1/20 of my Maths homework done. Huhu. and busied myself by texting peepz from all over Sg.[& India too ;)] Oh, and my class(or 'civics group', whatever that means) is erm, 0646A. I don't get why the code/name of the class has to be so crappy but nehmind ah... but 0646A is so cool! There's only 13 of us, while the rest of the classes have like 30. *smug* and guess what? There's only ONE guy. Albert. Thorn among the roses. Even my maths class is full of girls. WTF is wrong with the school?? Its suffocating, can? dang.. (ouh, there was this annoying girl who sat in front, then realised she was in the wrong room only after 15mins. Sad. Can't believe i laughed hysterically)
And during our (first) Malay lesson, we're asked to write an essay!? How bogus. The title was *ahem* : Siapa Saya Sebenarnya (Who I Really Am)... Thatz like to introduce our crappy selves to the teacher ok; and we had to complete it in 20 mins?! Even more bogus! My group spent like half the time nonsensifying & helping each other translate our English thoughts to Malay.-
Zee: What's "fluent" in malay?
Dil: erm, "lancar"...
Hema: No, it's "fasih"..
Zee: Ouh yeah..(scribbles)
M'liene: Hmm...i got only 3 words on my paper..['nama saya Amalina']
Me: Woohoo..clap clap.
M'liene: I know. How creative.
And so...20 mins came and went.. and that teacher, Cikgu Hani, came and grabbed our papers away. meanie! But whatever lah... oh btw, Hema is an Indian, but she's from Malaysia and her malay is like, admittedly better than ours. *sigh* What a shame! And to think those in the class were somewhat the 'best' in Malay.. Hyuk hyuk.
So lets see.. the indian Eng.Lit lecturer is pretty sardonic, the chinese Eng.Lit lecturer is over-enthusiastic, the female maths tutor is a lil crazy, the male maths lecturer is slightly English-defunct, the History lecturer may be gay(i dont know) and the Malay teacher is kinda mousey. Whootz... Its set to be one helluva ride for the next 2 years in IJC!

What's the smitten kitten smitten with?
Nice way of describing your cikgu-cikgu, jiran. ;-)
Hi Smitten Kitten ... thanks for dropping by my blog, it's nice to meet you. You have a pretty cool blog there. Hope school is going well for you. Please drop by my blog anytime. Take care, Meow
VENGELYNE: teehee... SmitKit is smitten with...hmmm.. aint telling ya, jiran!
MEOW: hey thanks aiite...and dang, my eyes keep straying to that dancing cat there..hehe
Nashe,
You have 2 years to go with the same teachers? Bummer. You'll either hate or love 'em by the time you graduate.
Any of your friends who would like to get more foreign visitors to their blogs are welcome to visit mine. Do they know how to follow links and comment? Any of them who visit my blog and comment, I will answer with a comment on theirs. I have quite a few visitors who might follow their links and visit their blogs, too.
Hope you have a good day! ;)
DIANE: Yup they do know... thing is, they don't particularly enjoy commenting on posts. So they kinda never leave a footprint, you know what i mean? But i will tell ma friend aiite.
And hmm...i'm stuck with the same teachers for this year only, i think. Next yr MIGHT be different teachers. And man...S'pore education is soooo stressing for me.sigh.
Nashe,
I understand about your friends......But if they want international visitors, they will have to communicate!! It's kinda difficult to visit with someone who doesn't leave me a comment and an address or link to backtrack. ;)
Your education system is very different from here in the U.S. My daughter is 18, and she graduates from high school in May, then goes on to university in August for at least 4 years, and if she finishes the major she wants, Clinical Psychology, she will have to go at least another 2 years, for a total of 6 years.
Be of good courage, young friend, nothing lasts forever, and this too, shall pass. Before you realize it, you will be out on your own, working for a living and wishing for some of these school days again. ;)
yup.... i have a feeling i never want or should ever ge out of school... its a tough world out there! haha
