All's fair in lust and war.
I just won SG$150. It ain't that much, is it, but hey, any amount gained before my shopping trip to Malaysia is welcome!
It wasn't luck. It was skill. And it was easy.
It started when I saw Tankyboy ironing his shirt. Or trying to, at least, since the helpless Polo seemed more wrinkly when he was done with it. I told the lad that he sucks at ironing, and he challenged me to do a better job. I couldn't be bothered, since he was probably gunning for me to iron his damn clothes for him. Until he put up 50 bucks to see who could iron better.
Now, I'm actually also useless with an iron. Especially if it has a million knobs and buttons on it. I've had a tiny phobia of irons since the day I burnt a hole in one of my Chomel tops (OMG it was totally devastating). But right now, there's money involved. Money I needed. So I took up the bet, with the instance that I got one day to tinker with the iron. He agreed, since it wouldn't be funny if I ruined any of his shirts. Bet was on.
I had to think fast! There was no way in hell I could learn the necessary functions on that stupid complicated iron within 24 hours. Then I remembered the one person who could help. Bibik! What a secret weapon.
Dude, you forgot that your maid totally loves me.
We didn't say anything about not receiving help.. right? So while Tank went out to meet his friends for a drink, I grabbed the maid and asked her to teach me. And I made her promise not to teach Tank anything if he asks. Such a simple, efficient concept. Bibik seemed to think the whole thing was hilarious, but at least she helped me out. Thanks, Bik, I love you. Needless to say, I won the $50 after we ironed identical Zegna shirts.
He wasn't very happy. He wanted a so-called rematch. He put up another $50 when we went to the gym to see if I could manage stay for 10 minutes on a treadmill, and another $50 to see if I could do 30 full sit-ups in a minute. "I don't think you can do 20..." It was an impromptu challenge, but tis okay. Bring it. He doesn't know it, but I didn't do 400 crunches per week for two years in dance class for nothing. The nightly Kegels helped, too. I did 33 sit-ups in the presence of a female trainer.
When are you gonna learn that you should never underestimate me, Tank? I'm sick of you belittling my abilities. You actually truly pissed me off by saying I probably couldn't do this or couldn't do that. And we all know it's never a great idea to pissify your opponent. Maybe it wasn't such a great idea to make bets with someone you don't know inside out, either.
You may call me a bimbo everyday, but you should remember that I'm the same person who ran across the road in 3.5" Nine Wests when you said we had to rush. If I told you once, I told you a thousand times- she who can run in heels can run the world. And she can definitely run a treadmill.
So herelies 150 bucks in my hand. Convert that to Malaysian Ringgit and I get... oh quite a lot, it seems. It will definitely cover my part of the hotel bills.
I should have upped the stakes. Damn.

Oh, and I just wanted to say, with you, I always overestimate. Though there isn't such things because you tend to fulfill everything expected. Tank's dumb to have not seen it coming.
Esok aja kalau gitu =)
@ Ame A: I know you will bring them out soon. I'm gonna make each one of our future meetings a HEEL-y one, unless we're gonna be running all over.

Yeah totally. Lulz. Though I personally won't call it cheating.
bibik deserves a cut. or would that make her a co-conspirator...
She didn't want any of the money in return. She says I do enough by chatting with her. I gave her a mini manicure. :))
You daylight robber, you... good going!
And OMG YOU GAVE THE OLD WOMAN A MANICURE???
You gave Bibik a manicure. OKAY NASH. OKAY. I don't know what to say.
@ Izan: yeah I did. Why? She washes his dishes all day and does all the housework... Her hands could use the exfoliation.
@ Putra: You don't have to say anything. :)
Yeah ...
Hard to find a hunky young jock in that part of the world who understands a strong woman. (not that easy in this part of the world, mind you)
